Court designates MRU as residual beneficiary of the Estate of Earl Silverman
NOTICE: July 20, 2017… “Because Earl felt that public recognition of female-perpetrated violence against men was neither recognized nor support provided for suffering victims, he stated in his Will that his Personal Representative was to create an “educational scholarship for male victims of female perpetrated domestic violence”.
To that end , Mount Royal University Foundation has been named as the residual beneficiary.
“A gift from the Estate of Earl Silverman, which would be identified as such, would support student learning through establishment of an endowed scholarship in conjunction with funding support for faculty-led research that focuses on male victims of domestic violence and in particular female perpetrated abuse against men.” – Faculty of Health, Community and Education – Department of Child Studies and Social Work
Earl’s work continues…
